What the fuck is going on?!?

According to the Associated Press, Lewis "Scooter" Libby told a grand jury yesterday that his "superiors" "authorized him to give secret information to reporters as part of the Bush administration's defense of intelligence used to justify invading Iraq."

Considering that Libby was Vice President Dick Cheney's Chief of Staff, that substantially limits the numbers of "superiors" he reports to.

I don't always agree with Sen. Edward Kennedy -- he's a bit of a polarizing figure to be a lead Democrat. However, he is absolutely correct with his comment about this matter. These charges, if true, represent a new low in the already sordid case of partisan interests being placed above national security. The vice president's vindictiveness in defending the misguided war in Iraq is obvious. If he used classified information to defend it, he should be prepared to take full responsibility."

The fact that Libby is claiming superiors authorized the leak is very disheartening and continues to cast further doubt into the honesty and integrity of the current administration.
